Snuggled in my bed;
Curled up in a ball,
Blankets pulled up round my nose,
No more cares at all.
Stories to be heard,
Many heard before;
Tales that tell of far off lands,
Fairy tales and more.
Mother reads to me
Stories old and new,
Peter Rabbit, Goldilocks,
Dr. Seuss and Pooh.
Cozy, warm, and safe,
Not a thing to fear;
Mother's gentle voice and touch,
Sleep is very near.
Shhh, shhh, shhh, shhh.
Darkness in my room,
Shadows disappear;
Head on pillow comfortably,
Sleep is finally here. |
