It all started on a nice sunny day last April.
All the kids in school were excited to be going to the zoo, but I was especially
excited. I love animals and picnics, and going to the zoo is having both at the same
time.
At the zoo, we got to see different animals in their
cages and some of them were getting fed by their guards. Each of us had a favorite
animal, and mine was the Elephant.
It was all going well, until Sam decided to mess around with the lock on the
monkeys' cage and then...
... the
lock broke! Oo oo ah ah. All the monkeys escaped! They ran in all directions. Everyone
screamed. Then the monkeys started unlocking cages. Within minutes the whole zoo was
turned upside down! Monkeys were everywhere, monkeys on trains, in lion cages, and even in
the parking lot!
Sam of course had to go back to the bus for the
rest of the trip. Our teacher went to find a zoo keeper. "Danny" said our
teacher, Mrs. Vorderburegge "Get a banana out of my lunch bag." I ran as fast as
I could to the bus to get a banana. then I ran as fast as I could back to Mrs.
Vorderburegge. "Here", I panted. " Now break it in parts and leave a
trail from the monkeys to their cage." "O.K" I said then I left a trail as
fast as I could. Once I was done I ran back. "Now we wait.", said Mrs.
Vorderburegge. Within seconds monkeys were swarming into their cage.
